So, the day is almost here. I was hoping not to, but in my case of growing big babies and my aversion to c-sections, I am in the position to schedule an induction. I am so excited about the changes that are about to happen, but of course, totally scared!! We have been taking video’s of Marielle like never before and I have still been taking tons of pictures of her. I want to capture every moment of her as an “only” child. Even if she is only 15 months old.   (She loves her pa-pa!!) She has been talking a lot, repeating words we say, and pointing things out like dog and ball on her own. It is really fun to see her develop her little personality. I started talking to her about being a Big Sister and have been asking her, “Marielle, what are you going to be?” and she says, in a little person voice “sis-ter” which sounds nothing really like sister, but you can tell what she is saying. Mee-no, Mee-no tigers...

I went back to the doctor today and I am still 1 cm. I have been 1 centimeter for 3 weeks now. I was so hoping for more! Last week when I had an ultrasound, they estimated that the baby weighed about 7 lbs. 5 oz. Last weekend I had some contractions, 3 Friday and 3 Saturday that were back to back. I really thought I was getting ready, but I haven't had any contractions since then:( Booo!! So, when I went back to the doctor today, she said she felt most comfortable inducing me Tuesday or Wednesday, because I grow such big babies. She estimated that by then, the baby will be over 8 lbs. and then we worry about being able to deliver. I am totally scared of a c-section, so as much as i wanted to just go into labor this time, I guess an induction will have to do. I chose Wednesday, hopefully giving this baby enough time to come on its own. So, if I have not already gone into labor, Wednesday morning of next week (October 14), we go in at 4:00 am. Marielle still has no clue what is go...

I went to my OB yesterday and found out that I am 1 centimeter dilated and very soft. I am so excited because I never dilated with Marielle. I know I could be like this for a few weeks, but it is still encouraging that something is going on down there. It's getting close and I have to say, I am pretty nervous about having Marielle and a little baby. Marielle is doing well and very active, and that seems to be the problem! She is so active, running around everywhere and testing us all the time. For example, she'll look at the fireplace, think for a second, then walk towards it and look back at me or Jon and smile so big; she knows she is doing somthing wrong. Right now, as big as I am, and as tired as I am, it is so hard for me to run to her and remove her. But I have to, I can't let her think playing in the fireplace is ok! And if we go outside, she'll run directly into the street, looking back with that little deviant smile. That kind of stuff makes me nervous. How wi...

I just got back from an appointment from my OB. I am not dialated, but she said it was obvious that I had dropped a lot and things are progressing. I knew I had dropped some, because my hips have been really hurting lately. And of course my back hurts, but that has been happening for the last 4 weeks or so. My doctor is getting married this weekend, so she will be on her honeymoon next week, but I do have an appointment with a nurse practioner for next Tuesday to get checked. And I scheduled an ultrasound for Wednesday September 30, to see how big this baby is. Right now she estimates that it is 5 1/2 to 6 lbs. I want this baby to cook as long as it needs to, but I am really tired of being pregnant!! She asked if I wanted to schedule an induction, but I don't. I would really like to go into labor on my own this time. We'll see!!
