I can’t get enough of this one…

She was looking at the monitor, of Marielle sleeping, then puts it up to her ear like a phone. She is really starting to talk A LOT and say lots of new words. I love to hear her say Marielle because it sounds nothing like Marielle! She says “ee-aa”. I don’t guess you can understand by that description, so here she is in her bed the other day…It’s long, but still cute. aliza trying to say marielle in bed from kasey gary on Vimeo .

How cute is Aliza’s pillowcase dress and Marielle’s fluffy, sassy skirt and matching bow??!! Jon’s mom found these from someone who makes them and decided my girls had to have them. I’m glad she did – because they look so adorable!!

Mardi Gras 2011

Friday night was the Southdowns Parade in Baton Rouge. Jon got off work early so we could get to our friends’ house, Carmen and Ben, before the traffic got too bad. Carmen and Ben live right on the parade route, so it was the perfect place to have a party. Luckily, most of our friends are now having kids and our “parties” are a little different than we’re used to. They were thinking brilliantly and had a bounce house out front – let me say it again – BRILLIANT!! For my kids at least…Some of the other kids were too young, including Carmen and Ben’s, but for the kids that were older – it was great! That’s Carmen and little Allie Parker. She was in the bounce house when we got there. She can’t walk yet, but she was enthralled by the bright colors and bounciness of the house. Of course, I didn’t take any pictures of us or our friends hanging out together. It’s all kids – I really need to work on that. Anyway, the parade started rolling and it was drizzling a little, but that didn’t sto

Girls Trip 2011!

I took a trip with my 3 best girlfriends last weekend. I’ll be very honest here and say that I was super skeptical about this trip. 2 of my friends and I live in here in Baton Rouge and my other friend, Julie, lives right outside of Dallas. When we started planning this trip, we were throwing around Vegas, the beach, and Biloxi. I was torn, should we do a party trip and be tired when we got home, or a relaxing trip and be rested to come home? Right away, Vegas was financially out of the question. Biloxi didn’t excite anyone and Julie’s too far for the beach. We needed a place in the middle. Julie said she always wanted to check out Natchitoches and do a tour. Hayley volunteered to look around the city and find a place for us to stay and a tour. This is when I got skeptical. I was like, “am I going to spend my girls weekend in NATCHITOCHES??” I wanted a little more excitement. I was looking forward to my fab four girl time, but I wasn’t sure about this small town in middle Louisiana.
