Oh my Gosh...

Marielle literally said that to me the other day. She goes "oh my gosh, rocks!" when I was taking off her shoes. She always has rocks in her shoes from the playground at daycare. I try to take her shoes off as soon as we get home to get them out so she isn't walking on them. After we did that, we walked in the hallway and she say some dust on the ground. Ok, maybe a large dust bunny, but hey, whose house is perfect? Anyway, she saw the dust and said "oh my gosh, dirty!" Then I said "oh my gosh, i can't believe you just said that" and realized where she picked it up. Other new things Marielle has said lately - "Mommy...come play with me...on the floor", "Play with chalk" "I want to play up there" up there being on top of the blanket on the fort we built on the living room. Needless to say, we did not let her play "up there". She is talking so much and it was just this week she started with complete sentences

Cousins having fun!

It was a total coincidence that they had the same suit!! They had a good time playing and splashing this past Sunday. It was a treat to have Jaci spend the night with my in-laws. And I even got to sleep in, thanks to Jon's parents!! Entered into Wordless Wednesday!  at 5 minutes for mom!

I've got a bitter taste in my mouth...

But, it's kinda SWEET... So this is it. I'm almost to the end. My last day of work and the kids last day of daycare is this Friday. I have all kinds of mixed emotions about starting my new job, SAHM (stay-at-home-mom). As I have said previously , I never thought I would do this. I am nervous, excited, scared, worried, eager - all kinds of different stuff keeps running through my mind. I have been getting more excited than anything else the last few weeks. I don't have any real plans for us and our first few weeks of home-life. Eventually, I would like to get out and do the zoo,the library, picnics and parks, but I'll probably stay close to home for the first week or two. I need to figure out our nap schedules and eating routines, then I'll start to venture out. Really, my first plan is the gym. They will watch your kids for 2 hours at a time and I hope to just start with like 30 minutes and I hope they do ok!! I am hoping that working out will keep me sane in my

Crashed Hard Drive

Image
I almost had a heart attack last week. Jon came in the kitchen and said the computer was making funny noises, so he turned it off. When I went to turn it on, there was nothing there and it was still making funny noises. I immediately took it to Computer Heaven, where we bought it. They are great there. Anyway, they said our hard drive crashed and there was nothing left. My heart started beating fast and I started to breathe heavily. I prayed really hard that all the pictures I take were safe on the external hard drive we bought and just recently hooked up. I took the hard drive to Computer Heaven too, and the verified that yes, all the pictures and documents are safe. PHEW!! I was so scared, and thankful that I finally listened to Jon and hooked up that external hard drive. It automatically backs up every Sunday night, so thankfully, I didn't loose any pictures. or anything else, but all I really care about are the pictures of my babies. Jon would have had a hard time with me if th

Happy Mother’s Day

It was a really great mothers day for me, starting Saturday night when Jon took Marielle to the store. Aliza went down for a nap, so I had a few minutes by myself and laid down in bed. I heard Jon drive up, then I heard Marielle come in saying, “Mommy fwowers, Mommy Fwowers” over and over. I sat up and she came in our room holding a bunch of pink roses. It was truly adorable. Then before bed, Jon gave me a beautiful card he signed as Marielle and Aliza, and of course a card from him. Also in the card was this: I totally love it!! I have been wanting something with my girls names on it, and I found this on a website called The Vintage Pearl . Yes, I did order it myself, but only because I was running out of time telling Jon which one I wanted and I had to order if I wanted to get it for Mothers Day. He did ask about it and wanted to order it, but since I was undecided, I just did it myself. But I did not open it when it came in the mail. So I was surprised to see it Saturday nigh
