Now that she is walking, she loves to walk – everywhere. She walks to the toy room and puts everything she can around her neck. It is truly hilarious to watch her do it. Then she’ll walk around like this for hours…
I have a friend. An old friend. A funny friend. A favorite friend. Her name is Jaime Marrs. She was one of my 5 friends at my actual wedding and has been such a fun part of my life. I met Jaime just before my sophomore year in high school, probably in the summertime when we started practicing volleyball. She was a freshman who made the team, but man, what I remember most about her was her attitude. It's not so much that she had a bad attitude, it was that she always had a scowl on her face. I didn't like her. She didn’t talk much and didn’t smile. And she was dating one of the hottest seniors. How dare her? Anyway, one day she didn't have a ride home from volleyball practice. I was riding home with Jill, and Jill offered her a ride. On this ride we talked and laughed and I realized that this scowled-faced girl was pretty funny. A few weeks ago, Marielle spent the night at my sisters house (her Nanny Ally). This video is from breakfast the morning after the sleepover. I have watched it over and over and I cannot stop laughing. It is 1:18 long, but if you have the time, it’s hilarious!! We gotta say Father Son! from kasey gary on Vimeo . Can you tell we say grace before every meal? and after the prayer she hears Allison’s dog, Sammy, bark outside and she gets a little scared. Priceless!! Nanny Ally was recording her at the perfect time!! Enjoy!
Run. I ran on the treadmill finally today, for the first time since I got pregnant with Marielle. I have been working out on and off since I was 19. I was in college and I noticed that I was out of shape since playing high school volleyball (that first year of college may have also contributed to my out-of-shapeness) and decided to join a gym. I got a trainer and had a few workouts and I stuck with it pretty well through college. When I met Jon, he worked out as well, so it was easy for me to keep up with it. When we got married, we both worked out (usually) 4 days a week. We would get up at 5:00 and go to our separate gyms (I go to an all women’s gym) Monday through Thursday. I even continued to work out all through out my pregnancy with Marielle, but I couldn’t run from the very beginning. When I found out I was pregnant, I kept working out just as hard as usual and started spotting, so I quit running and eased up on my workouts. That was about October or November of 2007. Afte...
