You may have seen our new purchase…
If you’re friends with me on Facebook, you may have seen that my parents, my sister and her husband, and Jon and I, all went in together and bought an RV. We are so excited about it!! This picture is from the day Jon and Billy went to pick it up. We are all so proud!
The kids also had to check out the new ride.
None of us really wanted to be the first to take it somewhere without the others, so we all decided to go to a campground close by this weekend. And by close I mean 5 miles from our house. We went to the KOA park in Denham Springs, less than a mile off the interstate. World travelers we are! Really, we wanted to make sure everything worked and that everyone knew how to work everything and set it all up. So Jon, the girls and I headed out Friday afternoon and waited for my parents and my sister to meet us out there.
The girls were super-excited even though they really had no idea what was going on. I think they could see that we were excited and just got wound up and so silly!
After we all joined up, the men hooked everything up and we had dinner. Even this little man got to enjoy himself.
The little bear suit was the cutest thing ever!
Aliza had too much fun hanging with her Honey and Papa.
There isn’t enough room for us all to sleep, so my parents and my sister each only spent one night and Jon and I and the girls slept in the RV both nights. The girls slept on the dinette that turns into a bed. Surprisingly, they slept great!
We got up slowly, watched movies, went walking, and just generally hung around.
For dinner Saturday night, we brought some BBQ and side dishes. Then we did smores and sat by the fire while the kids watched a movie. They now make flat marshmallow's specifically for smores. Have you seen these? Genius!
It was a really laid back and relaxing first camping trip. We are all ready for many more fun memories to be made.
Now we are heading out to a campground on the beach this weekend, Thursday thru Sunday. We are bringing Jon’s nephew and godson, Jaret, along for the ride. Wish us luck!!
So jealous! Looks fun. The girls are too precious.
