Christmas 2011
This year, we celebrated Christmas with my family on Christmas day, and Jon’s family on New Years Day. It was nice this year because we didn’t have to split either day and could spend as much time as we wanted at each respective family’s house.
It was a big deal this year on my side because every single person from my moms side of the family came. My mom, her mom, her sister, her brother, and all of their kids and families were there. Even my dad’s parents were there. It was about 38 people total including all this kids. It was at my mom’s house and I think we all had a good time visiting and catching up and having our kids play together.
Here is EVERYONE!!
My mom really wanted some family pictures taken, so I brought my camera, tripod and remote. This way everyone was able to be in it and I must say, I think it came out really well. I also took pictures of each individual family and sent them all home with memory cards with all the pics on it.
Opening presents was wild and I think the kids had lots of fun. Everyone just sat down and went to town!
My parents gave Marielle and Aliza their gifts Christmas Eve night and the first thing they brought out was this see-saw. It stole the show!!
Until Marielle got this microphone. Santa’s gifts couldn’t even top the microphone!
I gotta say, it was our best year yet. Marielle remembered last year and was into it. She really “got it”. Aliza didn’t get it, but she followed Marielle’s footsteps and played along like she really did know what was going on. Christmas morning was lots of fun and it was so beautiful to see my girls light up and see their presents.
First was putting out the reindeer food and cookies and milk.
Then Christmas morning
Jon showed the girls how the cookies were eaten, and Santa left some soot from the chimney near the fire place.
Yay, a bike and a bunch of movies!!!
Gary Christmas, on New Years Day
Tickle time with Grandy and Uncle Ray and Kingston
The Hungovers. As I said, it was New Years Day and these kids are all 20-somethings…
Aliza got a helmet and a babydoll with a stroller and playpen, and an alphabet block.
Marielle got several “Rapunzel” accessories. Her most favorite princess ever!!
I wish I had taken more pictures at the Gary Christmas, but it was just hectic!! Maybe next year!
I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!! It sure was a good one for us!!
